As we enter a new school year, a reminder that the Board of Trustees of Palliser Regional Schools routinely shares information on the division website.
Following each regular board meeting, a package of Board Highlights is produced and posted online. The highlights of the Aug. 26 meeting can be downloaded at http://www.pallisersd.ab.ca/board-of-trustees/meeting-information
Highlights of the Aug. 26 meeting include a board motion to hold a byelection to fill the vacancy in Ward 1, Subdivision 4 (Lethbridge County region that includes the Town of Picture Butte and hamlet of Iron Springs). The byelection will be held Monday, Feb. 2. Nomination day will be Jan. 5. The agenda for the next regular board meeting can also be viewed online. Generally, the agendas are available on the Friday before the Tuesday board meeting. The agenda for the Sept. 16 meeting is now posted at http://www.pallisersd.ab.ca/board-of-trustees/meeting-information. Once meeting minutes are approved by the board, minutes are also posted online at this same link.
The board encourages all parents to participate in their school councils as the best forum for sharing information with trustees and providing input to the school's leaders.
