Congratulations to the Grade 6 choir from Master’s Academy in Calgary on their first-place performance in the Alberta Music Festival Provincial Competition Friday.
The students, under the direction of Cheri Peters and Hope Serate, placed first in the Grades 4-6 Elementary School Choir category. The choir was invited to compete at the provincial festival after having won the category in the Calgary festival.
This is the second time in recent years a choir from Master’s has won at the provincial event, the last time in 2013.
This year, the Master’s Academy choir also won the Calgary Music Festival in the Grades 1-3 category, and was invited to submit a recording to the provincial competition for consideration.
