Sounds like this was a great week for music news in Palliser!
Tuesday, R.I. Baker Middle School's Grade 6 Band celebrated a "Superior" performance at the Lethbridge and District Kiwanis Music and Speech Arts Festival. Congratulations to the band, led by teacher Travis Conrad! Travis shared the news on Twitter.
Wednesday, County Central High School, Vulcan, music teacher Brian Rodgers shared a photo of the senior concert band in sunny southern California, where they attended a clinic at the University of Southern California-Irvine. The band performed Thursday aboard the historic USS Midway, an aircraft carrier in San Diego, and had visits and performances at Disneyland also on their itinerary.
Meanwhile, on Twitter, followers of @HCA_Calgary and @TorriAirhart, could spot photos a planning meeting to prepare for the senior high music tour to Orlando, Fla. at month's end. The senior band also had visitors from Springs Christian Academy in Winnipeg Thursday.
