August 7, 2020 Letter to Parents
August 7, 2020
We hope that you are having a wonderful summer break. We wanted to share with you some information about the 2020-21 school year. We have published the first draft of the re-entry plan on the division website. You can access it by using the following link:
Please understand, this document is a live document and will be updated on an ongoing basis. We anticipate having to revise it based on feedback from stakeholders, changing guidance from the government, and/or other factors. The most up to date version will be on the website and we will inform you anytime that we revise the document. The document does not cover every conceivable scenario, it is designed to summarize some of the key strategies we will employ for the 2020-21 school year. Please take some time to review the document and share the information with your children.
We recognize that these are extraordinary times and that the return to school in September is anything but normal. The re-entry plan highlights many of the ways we will be utilizing to create the safest environment we can given the circumstances. While we can never guarantee that the virus will not impact our schools, we do know that every one of our staff is going to go the extra mile to ensure Palliser students have an excellent learning experience. Teachers, Educational Assistants, Librarians, Administrative Assistants, Caretakers, and Central office staff are all eager to welcome your families back to the schools and the start of another school year.
We know there are many questions that still need to be answered and we want to assure you we are working hard to make the transition back to in-person learning as safe and as smooth as possible. As always, we are grateful for all the support and understanding that you have shown the Palliser staff over these difficult times.
