Summer-like weather provided the backdrop for a Palliser Regional Schools staff barbeuce co-sponsored by the Board of Trustees and Alberta Teachers' Association Local 19 and held at Edworthy Park in southwest Calgary Thursday.
The event is a follow-up to the Board-ATA barbecue held in Lethbridge in June.
The big difference between the events, aside from location, was weather. The June event was held as about 70 millimetres of rain poured down, sparking flooding.
Thank you to the staff at Calgary Christian Secondary for organizing this event and to the student caterers who prepared an excellent meal of burgers and salads.
