Transportation Services Supervisor David Shaw received a pleasant surprise Thursday morning as representatives of the Navy League Cadets visited Palliser Central Office to present a certificate of appreciation.
Tony Van Dyk, past president of the Navy League Branch and long-time Palliser employee, joined Commanding Officer Tina McAllister in presenting the certificate to Shaw.
The Navy League Cadets in Lethbridge book Palliser school buses and drivers for two to three cadet trips a year.
Palliser's Transportation Services department receive about 350 such community trip bookings a year, maximizing the jurisdiction's fleet investment and providing additional employment opportunities for the team of professional drivers.
