Congratulations to the students and staff of Brant Christian School for their outstanding Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser to benefit the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The event took place Friday, Feb. 28, the final day of February, which is Heart Month.

Students were given the opportunity to gather sponsors for their skipping, with the hope the school could reach its goal of raising $2,500.

Principal Rob Cowie said students and staff were grouped into their School Families, and the event was an opportunity to examine the “helmet of salvation,” based on Brant Christian’s year-long theme on the full armour of God from Ephesians 6.

Students not only had fun skipping, but they leapt over their goal, raising $5,282.

Thank you to all of the parent volunteers and special thanks to Mrs. Laurel Blake, Brant’s Grade 1-2 teacher, who was the driving force behind the event.
