Coalhurst High School Principal Chris McIntyre will serve as host and introduce viewers to his school during a new episode of "A Public Education," to be broadcast at 2:30 p.m., Saturday on CTV2 Alberta.
The episode will also feature R.I. Baker Middle School teacher Sandra Holland, as she invites an expert from the John Howard Society to help students learn about the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Other stories this month include:
- A feature on first-year teacher Chris Tuck. A graduate of the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge, Chris is helping his Grade 3/4 students grow and learn at Dr. Probe Elementary School.
- Caryn Swark teaches her Grade 6 students at St. Pat’s Fine Arts Elementary with the widespread use of all kinds of games, much to the enjoyment of students.
- Karen Philpott, from Chinook High School, teaches life skills through her popular Fashion Studies program.
- Holy Spirit Catholic Schools recently unveiled a new Grad Coach Program aimed at helping First Nations students succeed in High School and beyond.
