Palliser School Division is pleased to announce that Rebecca Adamson has accepted the role of Principal at Jennie Emery Elementary School, commencing the 2025/2026 school year.
Rebecca brings a wealth of experience in leadership, communication, and collaboration. She holds a Master of Education with a focus on Educational Leadership (2009), as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Modern Languages (French) and Social Studies, all from the University of Lethbridge.
Rebecca has a strong background in educational leadership and inclusive education. Since August 2021, she has served as the Inclusive Education Coordinator for the Lethbridge School Division. Her previous leadership experience includes serving as Vice Principal at Senator Joyce Fairbairn Middle School (2018–2021) and Lethbridge Collegiate Institute (2013–2018). Earlier in her career, Rebecca was the Division’s Alberta Initiative for School Improvement Lead Teacher, where she facilitated grassroots school improvement projects.
Committed to fostering effective relationships with staff, students, parents, and guardians, Rebecca approaches every conversation with compassion, an open mind, and a focus on student-centred solutions. She is deeply dedicated to professional learning, continually seeking opportunities for growth and collaboration. Her leadership philosophy centres on understanding and responding to the unique needs of each learning community, building strong, trusting relationships, and empowering staff and students as agents of change.
When not actively supporting students and staff, she can be found cheering on her son while he’s playing keeper for the LFC U17 team, playing in the mud with the Oldman River Potters’ Guild or her backyard garden, walking with her husband and dog, or more often than not, with her nose buried in a book.
