Students at Dorothy Dalgliesh School in Picture Butte have something exciting waiting for them when they resume classes Sept. 3 — a new playground.
The playground was built by volunteers Aug. 9 and 10. Volunteers also tore down the old wooden structure and excavated the area, with help from the Town of Picture Butte.
The first of two build days was bolstered by 17 employees from ATCO who devoted a "day of caring" to the project. The second build day benefited from the efforts of members of the Picture Butte Volunteer Fire Department.
Thank you to all the parents, community members and staff who helped build this beautiful addition to the school.
