New vice-principal announced for Kate Andrews High School

Palliser Regional Schools is pleased to announce that Scott Oikawa has been granted a transfer as Vice-Principal to Kate Andrews High School, the largest high school in the division, commencing the 2014-15 school year on Aug. 25, 2014.

Scott was born and raised in Picture Butte and attended both Dorothy Dalgliesh School and Picture Butte High School. Scott graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 1989 with a Bachelor of Education, specializing in English Literature. Scott has plans to pursue his Master’s in Education as well.

Scott taught in Enchant, John Davidson School and Coalhurst High School for 11 years, for 12 years was Vice-Principal of Coalhurst High School and Noble Central School, and for the 2013-14 school year was Principal of Noble Central School.

Scott dedicates many volunteer hours coaching a variety of sports; baseball, hockey, volleyball, badminton and curling. When not coaching, Scott enjoys participating in many sports, including fishing.

Scott is excited to continue to be a part of the Administrative Association in Palliser and the Superintendent’s Leadership Team; Scott welcomes the new andexciting challenges that await him as Vice-Principal of Kate Andrews High School!
