New vice-principal named for HCA

Palliser Regional Schools is pleased to announce Dan Magnan has accepted the role of Vice-Principal of Heritage Christian Academy commencing the 2014-15 school year.

Heritage Christian Academy is located in the northeast side of the City of Calgary and serves about 640 students from kindergarten through Grade 12.

Dan graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Bachelor of Education. Dan has been a teacher at Heritage Christian Academy since 2006, teaching grades 5 and 6. Dan has been coaching basketball for eight years, winning two zone championships with the grade 8/9 boys team. More recently, Dan has been part of a new high school six-man football team that kicks off in the fall.

Dan has been married to his beautiful wife Amy for the past 11 years and together they are raising three children; Norah (age 8), Rayah (age 5) and Hudson (age 3).

Outside of school, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and camping.

Dan is looking forward to this new opportunity and is excited to be part of the Superintendent’s Leadership team.
