Halloween is an opportunity to indulge in a little fantasy - and satisfy one's sweet tooth.

At Dorothy Dalgliesh School the annual Halloween Carnival was also a chance to have a little fun in trumpeting Palliser Regional Schools' commitment to literacy. While the students dressed up in the usual assortment of ghouls, ghoblins, sports and super heroes, the teachers were challenged to channel their favourite literacy character.

There were several characters from the Dr. Seuss series, Professor Dumbledore from Harry Potter, Ms. Frizzle of The Magic School Bus and Principal Shari Rogerson pulled off a great Pippi Longstocking impression.

Halloween activities at the Picture Butte school included a variety of spooky carnival games, hosted by the local School Council group, as well as classroom activities including the sharing of treats provided by the students.
