CALGARY ISLAMIC SCHOOL OMAR BIN AL-KHATTAB CAMPUS VICE-PRINCIPAL APPOINTMENT

We are pleased to announce that Aasima Asrar has accepted the role of Vice-Principal at Calgary Islamic School, Omar Bin Al-Khattab Campus, commencing August 23, 2022.

A dedicated and passionate leader with strong interpersonal communication skills, Aasima joined The Palliser School Division August 2017 and has been working with students and families at Omar Bin Al-Khattab Campus ever since. In 2017-2018, Aasima was nominated for the Alberta School Board Association Edwin Parr Award.

Aasima received a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 in Lahore, Pakistan and later obtained a Master of Arts (Education) in 2002. She received her Alberta Teaching Degree in 2017.

Married with three children ages 17, 12 and 7, Aasima and her husband love spending time outdoors with the family camping, and hiking. Aasima also enjoys reading and cooking in her spare time.
