Palliser School Division is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Coaldale Prairie Winds Fire & Emergency Services Academy (PWFEA) cadets, who recently showcased their talent, training, and leadership at the Futures on Fire Conference in Edmonton.
This year marks an exciting new chapter for the academy. Formerly known as the Kate Andrews Fire and Emergency Services Academy, it now operates under the name Coaldale Prairie Winds Fire & Emergency Services Academy. It continues its strong tradition of excellence while expanding opportunities for students from across the division.
Each Friday afternoon, these dedicated students commit themselves to rigorous academic and physical training. Over the weekend, they had the opportunity to put their skills to the test alongside more than 60 cadets from across Alberta. The PWFEA quickly stood out for their advanced knowledge and abilities and the integrity, humility, and leadership they demonstrated throughout the event.
From leading teams and mentoring other participants to breaking time records, our cadets exceeded expectations. Even as some of the most advanced students in attendance, they remained committed to supporting and uplifting their peers in an example of true leadership.
These students represented their academy, their schools, and the Palliser School Division with distinction.
