On May 12, 2014, at approximately 10:45 am, Vulcan RCMP Detachment officers were dispatched to Brant Christian School in the hamlet of Brant, near Vulcan to investigate what appears to be a parental abduction.
Officers were informed that the two sisters, Telisha and Taya Meisel snuck out of school and met with their biological mother, Trina Meisel, a 48-year-old woman who does not have legal guardianship of the children.
Telisha Meisel is 12 years old, long, blond, wavy hair and wearing a turquoise green sweater, a greystriped T-shirt and blue jeans, and Taya Meisel, 6 years old, also has long, blond, wavy hair and was wearing prescription glasses.
It is believe the mother and daughters are travelling in a 2007 black Honda CRV, Alberta licence ORNRSE.
Investigators do not believe the children are in immediate danger. The girls may have been taken either to Saskatchewan or Vancouver Island, B.C.
