
Palliser School Division and the Calgary Society for Christian Education are pleased to announce that Kirsten Klingvall has accepted the role of Principal with Calgary Christian School, Secondary Campus.
Kirsten brings with her over two decades of experience in education and leadership, including her recent role as Elementary School Principal at Rundle College. She is a passionate and skilled leader known for fostering inclusive, student-centred learning environments that are both academically strong and rooted in character development.
Throughout her career, Kirsten has held various leadership and teaching roles across early childhood, elementary, and high school settings. Her work has spanned both faith-based and independent schools, and she has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the academic and spiritual growth of students. In addition to her leadership at Rundle, Kirsten has served in international education at TASIS in Switzerland and in ministry roles supporting children and families in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Kirsten holds a Master of Education in Educational Research and Leadership from the University of Calgary, as well as multiple certifications, including a Leadership Certificate from Ambrose University. She is well-versed in curriculum design, data-informed decision making, and teacher mentorship, and she is deeply committed to building collaborative, Christ-centred school communities.
Her leadership philosophy is anchored in faith, compassion, and excellence, making her a strong fit for the Calgary Christian School community. Kirsten’s energy, experience, and dedication will support the school’s mission and inspire both staff and students.
Kirsten enjoys spending time outdoors, often gardening and visiting the family cabin with her husband and three kids whenever possible. They also share their home with three dogs.
