Palliser School Division is pleased to announce that Marvin Grasmeyer has accepted the role of Vice-Principal at Menno Simons Christian School, commencing August 26, 2024.
Marvin attended Calgary Christian School for 12 years, graduating in 1986, then pursued his Bachelor of Education with the University of Calgary. Marvin is completing his 30th year of teaching at Menno Simons and looks forward to continuing his service to the students, families and community in this administrative capacity. Menno Simons is moving into its fifth decade of service to the Calgary area, for which Marvin is grateful to be a part.
Passionate about serving and worshiping God, working with students and athletics, Marvin focuses his time on building character with the students he teaches and mentors. With his commitment to Christian education, he wishes to continue to work with the Menno Simons School and community for many years to come.
“Servant leadership is critical to the advancement of a goal,” states Grasmeyer. “Group members are more willing to contribute when they know you are prepared to work alongside them and have their best interest at heart.”
Marvin and his wife Cindy recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have 6 children, all who graduated from Menno Simons with their youngest set to start Grade 12 in the fall. The Grasmeyer’s enjoy hiking as a family and Marvin plays slow pitch and pickle ball.
Congratulations, Marvin!
