Palliser Regional Schools is pleased to announce Lucy Jarratt-Thompson has been appointed to the role of Vice-Principal of County Central High School in Vulcan commencing the 2014-15 school year.
Jarratt-Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1988, specializing in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Education Degree in 1994, both from the University of Alberta. Jarratt-Thompson continued her education pursuit and completed a Master of Education Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge in 2001.
Jarratt-Thompson’s teaching career with Palliser Regional Schools started in 1998 and continues to this day at County Central High School. She has taught a variety of subjects with the majority of courses being junior high science and health.
In her spare time, she has volunteered for Search and Rescue organizations and as a leader with Girl Guides of Canada. Her interests and hobbies include travelling, reading, gardening, camping and crafts.
She and her husband Dave have been married for seven years.
Lucy is looking forward to her participation with the Palliser Administrators' Association and the Superintendent’s Leadership team and welcomes the new and exciting challenges this new role provides. She is pleased for the opportunity to continue to work with dedicated Palliser staff who are committed to student learning and a collaborative culture.
