We are pleased to announce that Kimberly Alexander has accepted the role of Vice-Principal at Kate Andrews High School, commencing August 25, 2021, for the 2021-2022 school year.

Kim earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Lethbridge in 2000, with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education.  She is currently enrolled in the University of Lethbridge’s Master of Educational Leadership program and will graduate in 2022

Kim started her teaching career at Kate Andrews in the spring of 2001 and she has primarily taught English and drama classes.

“I am deeply invested in Kate Andrews and our school community and am excited to take on this new role,” notes Kim.  “I have a strong passion for teaching and learning, and I look forward to growing the relationships I already have with both students and staff at KA.  I am a firm believer in the power to engage students in their learning through innovative pedagogy.”  Kim is honoured to have learned from past and present administrators and many skilled colleagues throughout her career at Kate Andrews High School.  “As we move forward, I’m excited to see what the future holds for our school and help continue fostering success for our students.”

Married to her husband, Darrell, they have four children. Like most busy families, they enjoy juggling all of the children’s interests and the family has recently discovered the joys of boating and camping trips.  When given the opportunity, Kim loves reading, spending time with friends, and attempting to train their new puppy.

Congratulations Kim!
