Grade 5/6 students from Brant Christian spent May 21-23 in Waterton Lakes National Park on a free three-day camp.
The Waterton EcoSystem Investigator Camp is available free to lucky applicants thanks to sponsorship by the Garfield Weston Foundation.
Students had an opportunity to explore this World Heritage Site and experience the dramatic landscape “Where the mountains meet the Prairies.”
Parks Canada staff led the hands-on learning that included hikes, cultural presentations, discussions and environmental stewardship activities.
Teacher Ken Kroeker said students had the time of their lives.
“As a teacher, my spirit was refreshed during this trip and I highly endorse this adventure to others.”
Thank you to the staff of Wateron Lakes National Park and the Garfield Weston Foundation for making this educational experience possible.
Thank you to Ken Kroeker for sharing fantastic photos!
