Classes for all students at Calgary Islamic School’s Akram Jomaa Campus will resume Wednesday, Feb. 6 after mechanical issues caused closure of the building the day prior.
Classes were cancelled Tuesday, Feb. 5 after problems with the mechanical system were discovered and staff couldn’t ensure consistent heat throughout the building. Parents were contacted through multiple channels regarding the closure and were advised not to drop off their children at Palliser Regional Schools’ kindergarten to Grade 12 facility.
School administration worked diligently to rectify the situation Tuesday and Calgary Islamic School’s Akram Jomaa Campus will re-open Wednesday.
No other Calgary schools or others within Palliser school division were impacted.
