Have you ever wondered how long it’s been since a new recreation facility was built in Coaldale? How about a new school?

  • Jennie Emery Elementary School – 1994

The Town of Coaldale and Palliser Regional Schools have forwarded a proposal to the provincial government that could result in the construction and opening of the first new school in that community in 25 years, and the first new recreation facility in more than 30 years.

If you would like to know more about the multi-use recreation facility and school, please plan to attend the upcoming information sessions, which will be hosted by the Town of Coaldale.

When: February 5 and 12, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Where: The HUB (2107-13 Street, Coaldale)

What: Both projects are in the early stages of development and information shared at upcoming sessions will focus on the details of the site that has been chosen, including how and why the site was identified as suitable for the two facilities.

Who: The Town will be hosting the event and school division representatives will be in attendance to discuss the educational aspects of the projects.

The information that will be shared at the sessions will be available on the Town’s website and in paper format at the Town Office prior to the meetings by February 1, 2019.

If you have any questions, ideas or concerns ahead of the information sessions please call the Town Office at 403-345-1300 or email them at engage@coaldale.ca
