Trustees, Central Office staff and employees from other businesses in Palliser Centre were treated to a performance by the Kate Andrews High School choral ensemble Tuesday afternoon.
Accompanied by teacher Kade Hogg, the choir performed four songs during the Board of Trustees regular meeting. The choir will perform at the upcoming Christmas concert, as well as at the Coaldale Seniors’ Centre on Dec. 19.
The school isn’t just spreading the joy of the season through music.
The school’s annual food drive, conducted at the end of October, collected 755 bags of food the Coaldale Food Bank estimates was worth $5,400. It’s the most successful food drive yet for the high school, said Principal Danny Roberts. This year’s drive saw students distribute plastic bags to homes in Coaldale then return several days later to collect bags filled with donated goods.
