Trinity Christian School in Cold Lake is not affiliated with Palliser Regional Schools, nor is it connected in any way to Palliser’s faith-based alternative program in Calgary, also named Trinity Christian School.
Some confusion has occurred because the schools share the same name.
Trinity Christian School in Cold Lake was operated as a private Christian school, run by Trinity Christian School Association. The northern Alberta school made headlines Tuesday when Alberta Education closed the school due to a lack of accountability. The vast majority of students at the now-closed school were in a home school program.
Trinity Christian School in Calgary is a school in good standing, serving just over 400 students from kindergarten through Grade 9. The school is operated by Palliser Regional Schools in partnership with the Association for Christian Schooling in Calgary South.
