The Board of Trustees of Palliser Regional Schools has announced the identities of the two individuals selected to conduct an independent, organizational review of the school system, after reaching signed agreements with the pair.

Dr. Terence Weninger, of Lethbridge, and Dr. Kelly Williams-Whitt, of Calgary, have agreed to conduct the review with work starting June 1, or earlier, and ending Oct. 31, 2016, or earlier.

The board-approved budget for the work is not to exceed $74,500 including expenses and GST.

Superintendent Kevin Gietz had requested in January that the board approve an independent review of the school system in order to reduce distractions caused by numerous online, unverifiable allegations. The board agreed and formed a committee to recommend candidates to conduct the review.

More information on the review process will be provided as it becomes available.
