Palliser School Division has bid farewell to Robert Strauss and Kristine Cassie from its school board, both of whom did not seek re-election.
At the end of Tuesday's meeting – the last one of the term before the October 18 election, the school division paid tribute to the two trustees with a farewell lunch. Normally this would have happened at a restaurant where spouses could also attend, but due to COVID-19 protocols it took place at the division office.
The loss of the two trustees will be felt, says superintendent Dave Driscoll.
“It is just wonderful to work with a group of people who really want to give of their time to make the school division the best it can be. Palliser extends its most sincere thanks to Robert and Kristine. We will never forget the guidance, work, and insight that they put into further developing our division.”
