We are pleased to announce that Wendy Guzzi has accepted the role of Payroll Specialist, Certificated Staff, commencing May 30, 2022.
Wendy has been the support staff Payroll Specialist since joining The Palliser School Division in 2015. In June 2021, Wendy accepted a maternity leave position as Finance Officer and now looks forward to the new challenge of certificated payroll following the retirement of long service employee, Vivian Quon.
Wendy came to the Palliser School Division with several years of experience in payroll and HR responsibilities working for a large international company.
She was married in 1992 to her husband Jim and lives in the Lethbridge area. Jim works as a supervisor with ATCO. Wendy has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
Wendy is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and experience from working as a Payroll Specialist for our support staff and her current role as Finance Officer, to her new role as Payroll Specialist for certificated staff. She is looking forward to building new relationships with those working in the certificated group.
In Wendy’s free time she enjoys spending as much time as she can with her grandchildren, walking the coulees with Jim or anyone who will tag along with her. “I just enjoy being out in nature whether it be the coulees or the mountains. I am looking forward to this new challenge and being able to continue working with such a great team.”
