Palliser School Division is pleased to announce that Quinn Barreth has been appointed to the role of Principal at Brant Christian School, commencing August 25, 2021, for the  2021-2022 school year.

Quinn started his teaching career in 2004 at Glenmore Christian Academy and taught in the Elementary division for 4 years until moving to Junior High in 2008.  For the past 13 years, he has taught Science, Social, Language Arts, Health and  Bible studies. Quinn notes that he particularly enjoys teaching students how to use new technology to impact the world in a positive way.

Barreth received a Master of Education in Educational Leadership (2020) from the University of Calgary.  In addition, he also holds a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education (2004) from the University of  Calgary, a Bachelor of Arts (History & Classics, 1997) from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of  Religion (1995) from the North American Baptist College.

“I try to approach each day in my teaching with an understanding of what my students bring to their learning experience.” Quinn states, “This means I listen to their needs, challenge my preconceptions and humble myself to learn from them. It also means I need to be transparent about my motivations and goals, being willing to be vulnerable in a way that creates a community that becomes open to being vulnerable in return.”

When he is not reading or spending time with his family, Quinn can be found in the garage working with his new passion, reclaimed wood.

Quinn is excited to be a part of the Palliser team. He is honoured to be joining the community of Brant Christian School, with their amazing staff and families, and anticipates all that God will do in that community.
