We are pleased to announce that Henry Schellenberg has accepted the role of Vice Principal, Trinity Christian School. 

Henry comes to this role with 26 years of diverse teaching experience and a lifelong commitment to technology, athletics, and innovation. 

Henry completed his Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Alberta with a Major in Physical Education and Minor in Biology. Athletic highlights of his post-secondary years included winning the ACAC Championships with the Grande Prairie College Basketball Team and competing in Canada-West competition with the University of Alberta Track Team. His passion for athletics has led to coaching numerous sports teams and leading recreation initiatives over the years.

Henry’s teaching experience includes 10 years with the Calgary Board of Education as a Director of Athletics, Math & Science Specialist, Education Technology Liaison, and 3 years teaching Special Education. For the last 13 years, Henry has focused on serving Christian Education with Palliser Regional Schools both at Glenmore Christian Academy and Trinity Christian School.

In 2018, Henry earned a Master of Education in Educational Research - an interdisciplinary program with a focus on Instructional Leadership and Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning from the University of Calgary. Henry has since enjoyed mentoring aspiring teachers attending Ambrose University, and his international peers as a Team Lead with IT for Dominica Institute.

Henry enjoys playing basketball, reading, hiking, biking, and spending time with his wife, 3 children and enormous extended family.

Henry is excited to bring his experience and passion to the new role at Trinity Christian School.
